Tresa’s Story: Training Programs at W
Tresa loves the outdoors. Adept at horseback riding and kayaking, she also rebuilds transmissions in her spare time. As a former mechanic, she says the biggest challenge she’s had to face in her life has been lack of respect as a woman in a male-dominated industry; at W International, though, she enjoys the environment as a Weld Trainee, and feels valued and appreciated by her co-workers. Her favorite thing about the company? “I have gained a lot of knowledge in my time working here. When I first started I was not a structural welder, so I’ve enjoyed being able to learn and grow. I’m also learning how to FIT” Tresa says embracing W International’s environment of constant learning is key for new hires. “Working here, you learn a lot of new techniques and information, and it’s important to remain open and receptive to training”.
